I ve lost count of how many stories that were pretty much exactly like that one I ve read The third star is mainly for the art, and because I feel like I can t quite blame the story for its clich s But boy, are there a lot of them.First of all, it seems to be a thing in Japan that people young, pretty ish, guys let s call them uke are picked up on the street to be hired as housekeepers I find that very curious In this case, of course, it isn t even a housekeeper s job that s being offered it s the position of queen to the prince soon to be king of an imaginary mediterranean country where gay marriage is not only legal but encouraged by just about everyone. Now, our cute little uke ends up being engaged to the prince who he conveniently knew from school and who he was, of course, in love with , but the prince has several misconceptions that lead to him treating his poor fianc rather roughly First he thinks his bride to be is only after his money and then he thinks he isn t in love with him Both are common misconceptions under these circumstances so much so that I would suggest that if anyone were ever to find themselves accidentally engaged to the man of their dreams who is also a fairy tale prince make sure you talk to them honestly about your feelings I just wish that it wouldn t always lead to rape It s such a common trope in BL that I am no longer shocked or even enraged by it I m just really tired of it Especially because without it, this could have been a really nice story a nice, super clich d and melodramatic story, yes, but a nice one nonetheless. This is coming out in German next month, and I was going to buy it but after having read it I ve decided to skip it Why is most of the BL published in German so crappy Right, I m being unfair, there is good stuff being published, but for every manga by Shoko Hidaka or Toko Kawai there seem to be at least three manga like Black Sun or a Royal Fianc Or, the worst example of rape in BL manga I ve ever read The Tyrant who falls in Love I want works by mangaka like Yaya Sakuragi, Hyouta Fujiyama and Kai Asou, please If the review sounds too negative for three stars this really is one of the better BL manga of this type that I ve read, and I was entertained despite its shortcomings And the art was really pretty.

At first the story was kind of funny, not because it wanted to but rather because it was so cheesy and cliched view spoiler , a handsome prince from a Mediterranian kingdom who has japanese features and names because his kingdom was once saved by Japan is totally ridiculous, and perhaps kind of xenophobic, I mean what is bad about actual Mediterranians hide spoiler

This is quite a sweet fairytale At times I wanted to shake Shou because of his treatment of the often confused and awkward Kairi Misunderstandings and past hurts really clouded Shou s perception of Kairi, who was always sweet, kind and helpful to everyone around him.The story is pretty predictable, but that didn t make it any less enjoyable There were secondary storylines I found intriguing that I believe deserve a manga of their own, especially the story involving the King and his handsome secretary, Mifune The artwork in this manga was absolutely gorgeous the characters were very visually appealing and the landscapes were beautiful.Slashsessed Blog

De acuerdo.Es cortito, tiene un claro insta love y es simple, pero me ha dejado con una puta sonrisa de extrema felicidad en el rostro adem s de que el dibujo es altamente hermoso.En resumen ME ENCANT.

Overly dramatic and the plot is fairly rushed, but there are some very nice moments and it s fun to see the Prince character acting so coldly in his misunderstanding of the situation It was a very pleasant read and the art was truly lovely.
